Bowie Community Theatre has been providing award winning live theatre in Bowie for over forty years. We are sure that you will enjoy our productions this year as a member of our audience, cast, production, or volunteer.
Our productions are in the Bowie Playhouse, operated by the City of Bowie. We are fortunate to share the use of the Bowie Playhouse with two other community theatre groups, 2nd Star Productions, and Prince George's Little Theatre (PGLT). We thank them for the assistance they provide to some of our productions including costumes, props, set construction, and strike.
We are pleased to announce our 2007 - 2008 productions. This year we bring you a "Season of Comedy." Download our season brochure.

We are proud of TiaJuana Rountree who was nominated by WATCH as recipient of its 2007 annual award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Play in recognition of her performance as Proposals. TiaJuana played Clemma Diggins.
We are proud of Joe Thompson who was selected by WATCH as recipient of its 2006 annual award for Outstanding Sound Design in recognition of his original sound design for Dearly Departed. Thompson wrote, played and sang the special, humorous, homespun songs that played between acts.
We also congratulate Joanne Bauer for her 2006 nomination by WATCH as Best Featured actress in a play. David Emanuel describes this in his recent article in the Bowie Blade.

This year, BCT continues our participation with 28 other Greater Washington DC area community theatre groups as part of the Washington Area Theatre Community Honors (WATCH) to promote excellence in community theatre in the Washington DC area. Joining WATCH gives BCT the opportunity to be judged for annual awards and recognition through a peer evaluation process. Please contact us if you are interested in being a WATCH judge. This is a good way to become familiar with the offerings of many of the primary community theatre's in the greater Washington area.
